The game is simple but fun. However, many computer enthusiasts will be unable to play it on their native hardware, as the HGC has a resolution too high for CGA, EGA and VGA graphic cards. So here comes my contribution, a decade later, in 2026: A H-TRON port for the CGA, EGA and VGA graphic cards. Also written using Borland TurboC, and compiled on an Amstrad/Schneider PC1640 with a 8MhZ NEC V30.
I added also one new feature: support for the Amstrad PC 1512/1640 digital joystick. Isn’t that cool too? And, while the EGA and VGA versions play extremely similar to RobertKs Hercules original, the CGA version is a bit different, and I think, more fun to play ;-) Try it out.
